Neighbourhood Forums
Huntingdonshire District Council, together with other important public service providers in our area, is working to ensure that the community can have a say in how services are being delivered. Whilst this initiative has only recently been introduced, the Council hopes that Neighbourhood Forums will play a valuable part in community life in Huntingdonshire. The initiative intends to improve citizen engagement with public services and arose from changes made by the Government to national policy.
There are five Neighbourhood Forums established in Huntingdonshire, serving the following areas:-
- Huntingdon
- North-West Huntingdonshire
- Ramsey
- St Ives
- St Neots
All Forum meetings will be held on a quarterly basis and are open to the public where there will be an opportunity for individuals to come and have their say. The programme of meetings for the Forums are as follows, commencing at 7:00pm:-
North-West Huntingdonshire
- The Forums aim to enable local communities to hear about and influence what public
sector providers are doing and to provide an opportunity to draw attention to any problems that need to be resolved. The Forums will replace and absorb the Neighbourhood Policing Panels, but Neighbourhood Policing Teams will continue to provide an update on the local profile and use the meetings to set their priorities for the quarter. .
